Laws (proposed or otherwise), are laws...they get debated, passed, and if necessary, are subject to judicial review to see if they Constitutional.

Trump proposed just flat out taking guns, without due process, with no legal underpinnings at all.

Just grabbing them, if that makes more sense to a right wingnut.
