Russell, who's 10-0 vs super bowl winning QBs, and who has a career passer rating around 100 and had very few INTs this season, had a bad 3 quarters yesterday, mainly because of bad bounces off of Kearse's hands. He led a few of those passes just a bit too much. Add a stupid fumble on a kickoff return by Doug Baldwin (my man!), and a good punt return, and Green Bay was handed wonderful field position for at least 6 drives yesterday. With the ball given to them on the Seattle 45 or better on all of those drives, Green Bay scored a total of only...22 pts. Seattle's defense was still great in the game, throughout.
Seattle's offense is the unit that choked yesterday, in the first 3 quarters, not Green Bay. Choked on Bad Luck. Green Bay played as well as it was capable against a superior team. Yesterday wasn't the Packers imploding, it was Seattle having a bad game and then waking up. Seattle was the better team all along, and Green Bay almost stole one. The narrative has been backwards, IMO.
