In some EU countries, it's delivery only. Grocery stores and pharmacies only. Everything else is shut down. No take out. Grocery stores are being managed to only allow a set number of people inside at any given time. I saw that a couple of US Costco's have now started to have law enforcement presence as a show of force and to maintain "order".

Here in WA, supposedly several mobile quarantine facilities have sprung up in the past 48 hours. There's supposed to be one on Aurora somewhere and one in Issaquah I've heard about. I say "supposedly" because it's second hand. Like I said earlier, they're looking at empty office buildings, stadiums etc. for triage centers.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a full US lockdown in the next 48 - 72 hours including air travel. I wouldn't be against that. Unverified whispers abound - so who really knows.

All I know is it's going to be a long couple of months.

Yes. And as a result, I expect restaurants to close soon too.

Once that happens, the only place society can buy food is grocery stores.
And as in Italy, yes they will be open, but the social distancing requirements while you shop will mean they only allow people into stores in a slow trickle. That means there will be huge queues getting into stores to get what you want. Just like what is already happening in Italy.

So go get all the provisions you think you need now, today, for the long haul... so you dont have to wait in these lines and get sick in the coming months.

Its not panic buying, its buy to be prepared so you dont have to go out and endure your new grocery shopping experience and possibly get infected while doing it.
