What is the point of sending the bulk of my taxes to the Federal Government if during a national, life-threatening crisis the Feds tell the States we are on our own and should ponder bankruptcy. When there is plenty of money, the GOP are rabid capitalists: the corporations and wealthy get tax breaks to keep their money so they can keep “infusing” the economy and it will “trickle” down to the the rest of us (and I’m including the middle class who pay the bulk of the taxes), but when the economy hits a bump, all of a sudden the GOP becomes a socialist party and we are bailing out Airlines, banks, cruise lines, etc. Here is an equitable concept: give the money to the people, not a legal entity. Heck, here is a first start for the middle class, just return us the tax money we paid the feds last year, it’s a lot more than $1,200.
