Reality check: Impeachment is polling at only 45% in favor (down from 50% in November). I have no idea what a growing majority of Americans are seeing that I'm not, but somehow, the only number that matters to anyone in Congress is working in Trump's favor. That does not indicate that the Republicans are losing ground. Apparently, most Americans can't get enough lies and corruption, and they're ready for 4 more years. Hell; Sol Duc's ready to put a crown on Trump's head!

Regardless of whether voters choose to punish the Democrats next election (history suggests they will), I believe the Democrats did right by their oath to the Constitution by impeaching Trump. Meanwhile, Moscow Mitch McConnell and Lindsay Graham are very openly indicating they have ZERO intention of being objective, which clearly violates that same oath (not suggesting the Dems wouldn't do the same thing with the shoe on the other foot). It's just one more example of the hypocrisy that is virtually inherent in our political system. Anymore, principles are completely absent from the equation, and little details like laws, norms, and oaths to the Constitution only apply to the minority party.
