If Trump wants to stay out of jail he should probably resign at some point, even if it's the day before the next President's inauguration this year or in four years, and have Pence pardon him.

Otherwise "Unindicted Co-Conspirator Number One" will become "Indicted Co-Conspirator" the day he's not in office.
